As a witness to the love of God, revealed through Jesus Christ, the Baptist Health System is committed to ministries that enhance the health, dignity and wholeness of those we serve through Integrity, Compassion, Advocacy, Resourcefulness, and Excellence.
To honor God in all we do.
To minister to the body, mind and spirit of those entrusted to our care. To treat each other as we would want to be treated.
To improve the well-being of people in our communities.
To advance the benefits of faith-based, not-for-profit health care in our communities. To make the best use of our God-given resources.
To support education and research to enhance performance. To continuously improve ourselves and our services.
To reach superior levels of performance throughout the organization and to expand our faith-based approach to healing and caring to more people in need by engaging those who share in our vision.
Our Mission Window
The Baptist Health System Mission Window is a unique symbol that reflects the commitment to service inherent in our Mission. The symbols found in the window represent the five values from our Mission Statement:
The Cruciform, the largest and most vivid element of the Mission window, represents Integrity. This timeless symbol of the Christian faith portrays our core mission as an organization...to honor God in everything we do.
The Dove represents our compassionate commitment to be a positive, transforming influence on the body, mind and spirit of every life we touch, whether it be patient, family, community or each other. The Dove is a symbol of Gods greatest gift of compassion to mankind.
The Clouds symbolize our continuous quest to improve the well being of the communities God has given us the privilege of serving...always striving to do more and better.
The Tree Branch in the doves beak represents our commitment to being prudent stewards of the God-given resources that have been entrusted to us so that our Mission of Ministry thrives today and is perpetuated into the future. It is the smallest element of the window symbolizing that our focus is not on money but on ministry.
The Rays of Light that intersect and overlap represent the bringing together and blending of the God-given talents of all the individuals in our organization to create a health care ministry that transcends the abilities of any individual. Inherent in this is our commitment to continuously improve our services and ourselves.
