Joel Taylor, Administrator
Joel Taylor joined Citizens Baptist Medical Center as administrator in September of 2010. Taylor came to Citizens Baptist from White County Community Hospital in Sparta, Tennessee where he served as chief executive officer for two years. He has also served as assistant chief executive officer at Parkway Medical Center in Decatur, Alabama. Taylor received a master of science in health administration and a master of business administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He earned a bachelor's degree in political science from Birmingham-Southern College.
Zach Abercrombie, Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Abercrombie joined Citizens Baptist in July 2012. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Jacksonville State University and is a certified public accountant.
He joins the Citizens team after serving as manager of financial accounting/director of financial planning at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster, AL. While there, Mr. Abercrombie developed and interpreted financial and statistical reports, assisted in strategic planning related to hospital facility master plan and campus development projects and worked with department heads to analyze the impact of various activity drivers and strategic targets as they relate to revenue and expense.
Ann McEntire, Chief Nursing Officer
Ann comes to us from our sister hospital in Birmingham, Princeton Baptist Medical Center, where she began her nursing career as an ICU staff nurse in 1975. "Her years of experience, her passion for her patients, and her record of servant leadership are attributes that will be an asset to Citizens Baptist,” said Citizens President, Joel Taylor.
During her tenure at Princeton Baptist, McEntire served as charge nurse in the medical intensive care unit, a nurse manager, house supervisor and, most recently, as executive director of medical, cardiovascular and emergency nursing. She is active in several professional organizations and was the recipient of Baptist Health System's Mission Value Award in 2000.
