B. Clark Carpenter, Jr.

Mr. Clark Carpenter has been in private practice of law in Talladega since 1974 after receiving a law degree from University of Alabama School of Law, Juris Doctorate.  Most of his career practicing law has been with particular emphasis in insurance, personal injury, commercial and general litigation, including but not limited to the defense of medical actions and other health care related issues.  Mr. Carpenter has many memberships and affiliations including Alabama State Bar, Defense Research Institute and former Director of the Talladega Chapter Red Cross.

 
 Martha Ann Cox Martha Ann Cox

Ms. Martha Ann Cox retired in July 2004 as Vice President and Dean of Students of Samford University.  She has many affiliations including United Cerebral Palsy of Greater Birmingham, serving as President, Board of Directors from 2002-2004, Camp ASCCA, Treasurer 2003-2004 and Miss Alabama Pageant, Inc. Scholarship Chair from 1998 to present.  Currently, Ms. Cox is an active member of the Kiwanis Club, Easter Seals of Alabama, Board of Directors and Quality Assurance Committee for Jefferson County Department of Human Resources, Child Protection Services; this membership has transferred to Talladega County.

Dr. Jimmy Davis received a Bachelor of Science degree from University of Alabama in 1969.  He graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine in 1973 and completed his Internal Medicine Residency at University of South Alabama in 1976.  In 1976, Dr. Davis established the first Internal Medicine Practice in Talladega, AL.  Subsequently, he developed a group practice with a special interest in Geriatric and Long-Term Care in 1980.  Dr. Davis is a member of the active medical staff at Baptist Citizens, Medical Director of Talladega HealthCare Center and a member of State of Alabama Board of Examiners of Assisted Living Board.

  Mack Ferguson 

Mr. Mack Ferguson is a graduate of Auburn University in Mechanical Engineering, a registered professional engineer in the field of fluid power. He has been married 51 years to his high school sweetheart and they have four children and seven grandchildren. His work experience includes U.S. Steel, Southern Research Institute and several owned businesses. He served eight and one-half years in the military. He is actively involved in Hepzibah Baptist Church as a Deacon and Sunday School teacher.  He has been  the Executive Director with the Chamber since March 2009.

Mr. Pat Greene is retired from Bellsouth, Corp. as Vice President of Marketing.  He is on the Board of Directors of Talladega Chamber of Commerce, Board of Alabama Institute for the Deaf and Blind Foundation and on the Board of Thornhill Foundation.  Mr. Greene is also a member of Citizens for Good Government Committee, Kiwanis Club of Talladega and Catholic Diocese of Birmingham Investment Committee.

 Jerry N. Gurley, M.D. Jerry N. Gurley, M.D.

Dr. Jerry Gurley graduated from University of Alabama at Birmingham College of Medicine in 1970.  His residency was at Lloyd Noland Hospital in Obstetrics and Gynecology from 1970-1974.  Dr. Gurley's professional career has been with Talladega OB/GYN Associates, P.C. and Citizens Baptist as a member of the active medical staff since 1973 to present.  He holds many memberships and appointments including, but not limited to, Commissioner, State of Alabama Medical Licensure Commission from 1981 to present, Chairman & Chief Executive Officer State of Alabama Medical Licensure Commission from 1991 to present, Fellow, American College of Obstetrics & Gynecology, Fellow, American College of Surgeons.  Dr. Gurley also has a decorated career in the US Military, from Retired Brigadier General of US Army to Recipient of Group Commander of the Year Award.

Dr. Stan Jett received his medical degree in 1977 and continued his Family Practice residency at University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  Dr. Jett is a active staff member of Citizens Baptist and practices family medicine at Baptist Health Clinic in Lincoln, AL.  He is the former Chief of Staff for Department of Medicine at Baptist Citizens, Staff Physician at Talladega Super Speedway and Associate Professor of UAB School of Medicine. 

 Martha L. Jordan

Ms. Martha Jordan received a Business Administration degree in 1979 from Baruch College in New York, NY.  Most of her professional career has been with the Department of Justice, Bureau of Prisons.  Currently, Ms. Jordan is the Warden at the Federal Correctional Institute in Talladega, AL.  She has received awards including, Senior Executive Service Status in 2002, Quality Step / Outstanding Performance in 2000-2002 and National Defense Service Medal while serving in the US Army.  Ms. Jordan has affiliations with American Business Women Association, National Association for the Advancement of Colored People and National Association of Blacks in Criminal Justice.

 Hugo Molliston Hugo Molliston

Mr. Hugo Molliston is a graduate of Athens State College, where he received a B.S. Degree in Industrial Management.  Most of his professional career he has been affiliated with Talladega Foundry & Machine Co, Inc.  Starting in 1974 as a Purchasing Agent & Personnel Manager to later becoming VP, Operations & Sales in 1978 and finally President from 1981 until 1990, when the company was sold.  Mr. Molliston continued working as Sales Manager until 1995 with Talladega Foundry.  Since 1990, he has been in partnership with ATAP, Inc.

 

 

 Tommy Spears Tommy Spears

Mr. Tommy Spears is a 1976 graduate of Auburn University with a B.S. in Pharmacy.  He has owned and operated Spears Pharmacy in Talladega since 1985.  In addition to memberships in the Alabama and American Pharmacy Association, Mr. Spears is also active in the local Kiwanis, Lions Club, Jaycees, and Red Cross.  He and his wife Sara are members of The First United Methodist Church of Talladega.

 James Weems, M.D.

James Weems, M.D.

Dr. James Weems received his B.S. in 1975 from the University of Alabama, followed by his Medical Degree in 1980 from the University of South Alabama College of Medicine.  He completed his internship and residency programs at the University of South Carolina/Richland Memorial Hospital.  Dr. Weems is an active staff member of Citizens Baptist and has practiced Pediatric medicine in Talladega since 1993.  He serves on the Talladega County Department of Human Resources Quality Assurance Task Force and the Interdisciplinary Review Service for Abused/Assaulted Children.
