The Medical Staff
Citizens Baptist offers access to physician specialties such as cardiology, orthopedic, internal medicine and oncology, just to name a few. The physician who admits you is responsible for directing your care while you are in the hospital. Your physician, as the coordinator for your treatment program, should be consulted if you have questions about your illness.
The Nursing Staff
A registered nurse is assigned each shift to supervise your care. The registered nurse may be assisted in your care by licensed practical nurses or nursing assistants. At Citizens Baptist our nurses take pride in not only meeting, but also exceeding your health care expectations. They are dedicated to ensuring that your stay on their unit is as comfortable as possible. If you have any concerns, you may direct them to the nurse manager assigned to your unit.
The Case Management Department includes certified nurses, case managers, and others available to help with coordination of care during your stay and for appropriate post-hospital care. In addition to coordination of care, the case management staff has resources to help with finances, counseling services, alcohol and drug treatment, and other community resources. Technologists and Therapists
During your stay, other health care professionals from various departments may assist in your care. You may see professionals from Radiology (X-ray), Laboratory, Respiratory Care, Physical Therapy and other departments. All of these staff members are qualified in their area of care and work under the direction of your physician.
Citizens Baptist believes that total patient care demands attention to the spiritual, as well as the physical and emotional, needs of each patient. Members of the pastoral services staff are available to assist you, whatever your religious preference. If you would like to speak with a Chaplain, please ask your nurse for assistance. For our patients or guests who want a quiet place to meditate or pray, we have a chapel on the first floor located by the Emergency Department.
The hospital maintains a full-time Registered Dietitian to meet your dietary needs during your stay. If you have questions about your diet, call extension 4202.
You may come in contact with a variety of other staff members at Citizens Baptist. All person affiliated with Citizens Baptist wear an identification badge displaying a name and photo. Feel free to ask the names and duties of any person involved with your care.
It is important to us to know how you feel about the care you are receiving. We have administrative representatives who are on staff to specifically resolve, to the best of their ability, any concerns that you may have. They may be reached by calling extension 4517. Your concerns will be treated respectfully and as confidentially as possible.
The volunteers of Citizens Baptist provide valuable assistance to the staff, patients and visitors. Volunteers provide delivery of coffee, magazines, and many other services. For more information about volunteer services, you may reach a volunteer at extension 4596 or 4194.
A member of the housekeeping staff cleans your room daily. If there is a housekeeping problem in your room, tell your nurse, and it will be taken care of as soon as possible.
