The AlabamaOrgan Center and other national organ donor organizations have joined togetherto offer hospital leadership nationwide the opportunity to hand write adedication to be placed on the 2014 Donate Life Rose Parade Float, themed LightUp the World.
PrincetonPresident Betsy Postlethwait signed a personal tribute today on behalf ofPrinceton Baptist Medical Center that will be attached to a vial that willcontain one of the flowers used to decorate the float.
The personal,handwritten messages, including Postlethwait's, will honor the patients andfamilies, who, with the support of hospital staff, have saved and healed livesthrough the gift of eye and tissue donation. The Rose Parade is an ideal venueto showcase how Alabama hospitals, and other hospitals across the country, makepossible the life-saving and healing benefits of organ, eye and tissuedonation.
