Patients who have experienced open-heart surgery share a common bond. They share the same fears and concerns about what the future holds. The Heart Alumni Club was developed throughout Baptist Health System to provide a support group for patients who have experienced open heart surgery. Members also provide support to Princeton open heart patients through pre-operative visits to offer prayers, answer questions and a friendly face.
The Princeton chapter meets monthly and feature guest speakers such as cardiologists, nutritionists and more. Meeting topics include new procedures, stress management, heart-healthy eating and cooking tips. Membership includes people who have had cardiac procedures as well as spouses and family members. There is no charge for membership in the Heart Alumni Club. For more information please call (205) 783-3435.
