HCAHPS

The Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Provider Systems survey (HCAHPS) is a standardized national survey developed by the Federal Government. This random survey measures a patient's opinion of the overall care that he or she received at the hospital as well as how often the patient believes that the hospital always provided a particular service.

Learn more by watching a brief video below from Baptist's Chief Medical Officer. The questions which patients are asked are outlined at the bottom of this page. To view the quality measures of our hospitals, click here.

What questions in the HCAHPS survey are reported on the Baptist Health System web site?

1. How do patients rate the hospital on a scale of zero to ten?

2. Nurses 'always' explained things clearly, listened carefully and treated the patient with courtesy and respect.
3. Physicians 'always' explained things clearly, listened carefully and treated the patient with courtesy and respect.
